Teeing Up Another Successful Year In Business

A Norwich-based flooring specialist has celebrated a successful first year in business by teaming up with one of the region’s leading golfers.

Golf enthusiast Mark Jackson announced his sponsorship of PGA Professional Ian Ellis at a special event on Thursday June 12th to celebrate the continued development of Norfolk Floors.

Specialising in high-quality carpet and flooring, Norfolk Floors has produced a turnover of £200,000 in its first year of business with a target to push that to £300,000 over the next 12 months and further expansion beyond that.

Mr Jackson said: “The first year in business has been incredible. It has been exciting, a learning curve, and I have had an opportunity to create something special from the very beginning. I would like to thank all my customers, friends and family for their continued support and helping Norfolk Floors to be a success”.

He made the decision to move into his new business premises and open his own company – offering flooring to both the domestic and commercial sector – in 2013 after a number of years as Managing Director with Kerry’s Carpets in Norwich.

Mr Jackson, who has known Ian Ellis for many years and admired his golfing ability and performances, added: “I am absolutely delighted to sponsor Ian Ellis. He is a superb individual, always looking to improve, always looking to help others improve their game, and I believe this relationship is ideal and will continue to blossom.”

Ian Ellis turned professional in 1997 and is a PGA Professional at the Great Yarmouth & Caister Golf Club. As well as spending significant time on the course practicing and preparing for major tournaments, he also offers golf lessons and professional coaching.

Norfolk Floors, based at Unit 7, Alston Road, Hellesdon Park Estate, Norwich, supplies carpet and flooring across East Anglia, and is now looking to recruit more experienced staff.
